According to statistics, from January to August 2025, the national output of machine-made paper and paperboard reached 106.659 million tons, marking a year-on-year increase of 2.7%. Specifically, Guangdong Province produced 15.6044 million tons, representing a year-on-year decrease of 8.5% and accounting for 14.63% of the national total.

The cumulative operating revenue of machine-made paper and paperboard nationwide amounted to 916.71 billion yuan, down 1.9% year on year. Among this, the operating revenue of Guangdong Province stood at 154.974 billion yuan, down 6.5% year on year, accounting for 16.91% of the national total.

The total profit of the national machine-made paper and paperboard industry amounted to 22.93 billion yuan, down 18.8% year on year. Among this, the total profit of Guangdong Province stood at 1.763 billion yuan, down 42.3% year on year, accounting for 7.7% of the national total.
